Version 1.0 · Effective date: 2026-07-23 · App: QR Master (com.calyxharbor.qrmaster)
QR Master ("we", "the app") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data the app processes, why, and where it goes. The app is designed to work entirely on your device — your scan history and created QR codes never leave your phone.
1. Data We Collect and Process
1.1 Advertising identifiers (Google AdMob)
The app shows ads via Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect the advertising ID and device identifiers, and use them for ad personalization, attribution, and fraud prevention, subject to your consent choices (EU/UK users are asked via a UMP consent dialog on first launch).
You can reset or limit your advertising ID in Android Settings (Ads / Privacy).
1.2 Analytics (Firebase Analytics)
We use Firebase Analytics to understand feature usage (e.g., counts of scans and QR generations, ad impressions). Events contain no content of your QR codes — only event types (such as task_start, task_success) and technical parameters.
No personal identity information (name, email, contacts, location) is collected.
1.3 Crash reporting (Firebase Crashlytics)
We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash logs and device state at the time of a crash, to keep the app stable. Crash reports do not include your QR content.
1.4 Remote configuration (Firebase Remote Config)
Ad frequency parameters (e.g., interstitial caps) are remotely configurable via Firebase Remote Config. It does not collect user data.
2. Data We Do NOT Collect
No account, no sign-up, no personal information (name, email, phone)
No location data
No contacts, call logs, SMS, microphone, or photos access
Your scan results, generated QR codes, and history are stored only locally (on-device database and preferences) and are never transmitted to us or any third party
No cookies or tracking pixels
3. Permissions

4. Data Retention and Deletion
Local data (history, settings, unlocked templates) stays on your device until you delete it: use Settings → Clear History, or uninstall the app to remove everything.
Analytics/advertising data collected by Google is governed by Google's retention policies.
The app is a general-audience utility rated for adults (18+ target audience declaration). We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as features change (e.g., when ad mediation is added). Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date and in-app notice where appropriate.
